The temperatures are below average for this time of year but Keep Warm kept punters happy at Pontefract this evening. The two-year-old son of Lightning Spear won the 'Sky Bet Extra Places Every Day Nursery Handicap' under a six pound penalty which he picked up for last week's course and distance win. Billy Garritty was the winning jockey again and has struck up a nice partnerhip with Keep Warm. |
However, the odds weren't too rewarding as Keep Warm was returned at 4/7 after beating Doubletalk by three-quarters of a length. |
Keep Warm became the first two-year-old to win consecutive races for the stable since Melgate Majeure who won back to back nurseries at Newcastle in 2018. |
