A gelding by Holy Roman Emperor, Carolus Magnus has won twice at Newmarket over 7f and a mile. He joined us from Tattersalls Autumn Sales in October 2022.

Carolus Magnus won his first race for us when successful at Musselburgh in October 2025 after an absence from the winners' enclosure of four years.

Carolus Magnus is Latin for Charlemagne (Charles the Great), a member of the Carolingian dynasty. He was King of the Franks from 768, King of the Lombards from 774, and the first Emperor of the Romans from 800.
