By Kodiac out of the Sri Pekan mare Hemaris, who was a dual winner in Ireland. He made E70,000 as a foal in 2016 and his full sister was sold for E125,000 at Goffs Sales in 2015. Socru was claimed out of the Rous Selling Stakes at York, and has run very well in novice races since joining us, looking a model of consistency. Socru won his first race at Doncaster in April 2019 and left the yard in September 2020.

Socru was rehomed from his new yard and is now enjoying a new career.

New owner Hayley tells his story.

"I absolutely adore him. He has the most trying attitude, super brave and patient too. He’s taught me so much both on the ground and in my riding. Never a dull day!! Unfortunately he’s had to have an op on his back this summer. During his recovery he developed an issue with his hoof, he’s booked in to get that sorted next month. He’s being a fab patient though and enjoying the time off and the extra fuss! We will get back to doing what we love by the summer."
