Three-year-old gelding Youvegotoshowmeluv yesterday left he yard for the final time to enjoy retirement out of racing on a farm near Milton Keynes.

The striking chestnut son of Bungle Inthejungle raced at Newcastle, Beverley, Southwell (twice) and Catterick but after five runs we didn't think he had the speed to be a winner and we took the decision to find him a new career.

Retired from racing, Youvegotoshowmeluv will enjoy his career after racing where he'll live with plenty of companions, including a small flock of cockerels!

Named by owner John Blackburn after the hit song 'Show Me Love' by Robin S., we had many enquiries and offers to rehome the horse and we're delighted with his new home and know he'll want for nothing.

A big thank you to John for letting this happen, and to Phil for driving the horse down to Milton Keynes yesterday!
