Yorkshire Lady was a winner over hurdles this afternoon at Wetherby.

Ridden by Jamie Hamilton the six-year-old grey mare took the two mile 'Download The vickersbet App Mares' Novices' Hurdle' at the 'A1 course'.

Yorkshire Lady was given a gentle introduction and raced at the rear before making her move later in the race to lead two out. She won with plenty in hand and was drawing away from the 6/4 favourite Strong Belle in the final furlong. The winning margin was 5½ lengths and she was returned at odds of 10/3.

Yorkshire Lady was adding to her previous five victories on the flat for co-owner and breeder Jim Munroe and she looks a horse to follow in coming months.

Yorkshire Lady won for the first time back in 2020 when landing a Leicester maiden for her former co-owner the late Linda Folwell. It was Linda who named Yorkshire Lady and the mare's wins always rekindle memories of our great friend.
