Friday racing: Five runners at York's evening meeting

It's Music Showcase Weekend at York and we kick off by sending five runners to the Knavesmire's Friday evening meeting.

At 6.40 the IRE-Incentive, It Pays To Buy Irish EBF Restricted Novice Stakes for Band C and Band D horses sees The Resdev Rocket and Diplomacy take to the track. Diplomacy was a breeze-up purchase earlier this year and will be making his debut on the racecourse.

Silvestre De Souza has been booked to ride Alpha Magic in the Tomahawk Handicap at 7.15 as the four-year-old goes in search of his first win of the season. Alpha Magic's two wins have both been on good to soft ground so the good to firm surface may not be ideal.

We're double-handed in the Sky Bet Go-Racing-In-Yorkshire Summer Festival Handicap with Liverpool Star and Bravo Hotel as Billy Garritty and Joanna Mason take the rides.

After racing there is music from Craig David and we most likely won't stay to listen.
