We head to Thirsk on Wednesday afternoon where we fields five runners.
The six furlong
EBF Restricted Novice Stakes
has divided and
Court Legend
(Joanna Mason) and debutant
Mr Resdev
(Billy Garritty) will run in Division One which opens the afternoon card. Court Legend has had one outing, finishing midfield in a York seller, whilst Mr Resdev, a half-brother to Ayr Bronze Cup winner Diligent Resdev, makes his debut. Twelve runners go to post, including two previous winners. Kodiak Breeze was an easy winner at Redcar last time, but the form is unknown. Possessive was a debut winner at York and then finished seventh in the Woodcote Stakes on Derby day at Epsom.
Division Two sees
Mick's The Boy
and
Roman Crystal
line up where Billy Garritty and Joanna Mason ride. Mick's The Boy finished midfield in the Rous Selling Stakes at York on his only outing to date, whilst Roman Crystal was sixth of seven at Ripon a fortnight ago. The sole winner in the field is Arapaho Gold who did his best work later on after running green at Thirsk. He defeated Kodiak Breeze, who won his next race and runs in Division One of this contest. Arapaho Gold looks capable of defying a seven pound penalty providing the newcomers are nothing out of the ordinary.
Court Legend
Liverpool Star will bid for his second win of the season when he lines up for the
Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap
at Thirsk on Wednesday.
The three-year-old recorded his first career win at Ripon in April and after dropping back to five furlongs last time he returns to his winning distance as Joanna Mason takes the ride. Bottom weight Hares Bredth may well follow up here. Tim Easterby's horses are in fine form and the yard has sent out 16 winners in the past fortnight.
