Ten-year-old gelding Unplugged has been retired from racing.

A four-time winner on the track, the son of Alhebayeb amassed over £32,000 career prizemoney in 39 starts and was a real yard favourite.

Unplugged joined us in 2019 from the Tattersalls July Horses In Training Sale, purchased out of Andrew Balding's yard for 20,000 guineas. Owned by Simon Windle's Pellon Racing, Unplugged didn't make his first start for the yard until 2022 when he defied a 1078 day break to win at Pontefract where he beat stablemate Bavardages.

In 2024 he won at Haydock and Pontefract and then again at Pontefract in 2025. He was ridden by Serena Brotherton in his final three wins, as he established a great relationship with the leading amateur rider who also became a co-owner in May 2025.

Unplugged raced for the final time at Wolverhampton in October 2025 and the plan was to return in '26 but after a training setback his owners decided to call time on his career and give him an honourable retirement.

Everyone at the yard will miss Unplugged, who was a fabulous racehorse to train and always did everything asked of him. Especially sad to see him leave will be his regular work rider Sarah Finch who worked wonders with the horse.

Unplugged will head to West Yorkshire where he will spend his retirement with his owner Simon Windle.
