Nottingham host their first meeting of the 2026 season on Wednesday and we send two runners down to Colwick Park.

Monte A Bord won a bumper at Newcastle back in October and he makes his flat debut in Division Two of the Ladies Day 9th May 'Confined' Novice Stakes. He has plenty of speed and will tackle the ten furlong novice event in a field which features Godolphin's Olympic Charter and John and Thady Gosden's Tornado Tower who both make their first racecourse appearances and are an unknown quantity.

J Street runs in the Four Legged Friend 26th April Handicap having been beaten three lengths at Doncaster last month when making her seasonal reappearance. A former winner for Craig Lidster in 2024, she joined us from Ivan Furtado last autumn.

Liverpool Star heads to Catterick for the Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap. He returns to turf having run well on the all weather as he seeks his first victory. His best effort to date came when beaten a head at Newcastle in December from a mark of 65, and he's back off that rating again today. Liverpool Star acts on turf, having finished third when beaten half a length at Thirsk in June. Contorno, trained by Tom Tate, looks the one to beat here having won two of his last three starts.
