Now three weeks old, our first foal of 2026 was born on Friday 13th February. A son of Rajasinghe, out of multiple winning sprinter Mid Winster he'd bred for speed and we hope that he will be a future winner!
With reference to his birthday he was given the stable name 'Loki'. The idea that Loki was the “13th guest” at a divine banquet is one of the oldest and most widely cited origins of the superstition surrounding Friday the 13th. In Norse myth, Loki arrives uninvited as the thirteenth guest at a feast in Valhalla and triggers the death of the beloved god Baldr — a story often linked to the number 13 becoming unlucky.
