There's all weather afternoon racing at Southwell on Friday where Joanna Mason takes the rides on Von Trotter and Atomic Mass.

Von Trotter has shown plenty of ability and made a good start to his career with two runners up places from two starts. Last time he finished behind Sound And Vision over today's course and distance and the form was franked when fourth in the race won next time out. The son of multiple wining mare Bankawi runs in the Midnite Aint Your Grandads Bookie Restricted Novice Stakes where Arlo's Girl, a winner on her sole start, looks the one to beat.

Atomic Mass was busy last year with 14 races, and he's now three pounds below his winning mark when successful at Wetherby in June. His overall record shows one win from 21 starts but he's yet to win in eight races on the all weather). Last time he was seventh of 10 hehind Waistcoat at Chelmsford but the pick of his all weather form is here at Southwell where he's been runner up twice from three starts.
