We head to Southwell this weekend where Joanna Mason takes our two rides on the all weather.

Yorkstone will tackle the second division of the BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Classified Stakes over a mile as he has his second race of the season and he'll wear first time blinkers. A long term absentee in 2025, he will be bidding to add to his three career victories to date.

The division of the race means that Yorkstone faces seven rivals, with the consistent grey Secret Road the horse they all have to beat. Rated 54, Secret Road can run in this 0-50 contest as he was only rated 48 when the entries were made, and so carries four pounds over the allotted top weight. He found only one horse too good when bidding for a hat-trick last time out at Chelmsford.

The Mick & David Easterby 50 Club's Trucial Pearl also makes the trip to Nottinghamshire for the Win 250,000 With BetMGM's Golden Goals Handicap. Rated 49 after four races she will be making her seasonal debut alongside a field who have struggled to find winning ways, Container Express being the only horse in the race to have got his head in front to date.

There are a number of unexposed horses in the race but the answer might be Woody Y Fernandez. He was well fancied when third at Chelmsford in October, and the second in that race has since won. The form of his second placed effort at Newcastle in September has also been franked.
