Flymetothestars joined us in 2020 from Sir Mark Prescott. He'd won twice at Newcastle and once at Southwell, but his biggest pay day saw him finish runner up in the 2017 Ebor at York. Going down by a head to Nakeeta in a battling finish, he collected over £50,000 in prizemoney. Just two months earlier he'd finished a close third in the Northumberland Plate.

Fly never refound his form and after a few setbacks he was rehomed with Kelly at a yard near Bolton.

Fly lives with his best friend Vinny, another former racehorse, and has become a huge hit at the stables.

"He is doing amazing," says Kelly. "We're going to continue with him jumping in 2026. This Christmas he took my son on the Christmas fancy dress hack."

"I fell in love with his photo when I saw him. I thank you for sending him to me."
