We head back to Gosforth Park this weekend for the Saturday evening action under the floodlights.

First up is veteran stayer Desert Emperor in the ten furlong Midnite A Next Generation Betting App Apprentice Handicap where Lewis Chalkley takes the ride. Desert Emperor's four career victories have all come on the all weather, most recently at this course last December. However he has yet to win over a trip as short as this, with previous successes coming at 1m4f to 1m4½f.

Star Noir has run well in his four outings to date, with two runners up spots and a third placed finish and he runs in the Set Deposit Limits At BetMGM Nursery Handicap. The ground may have been too soft last time when he finished fourth of five after being sent off as the 4/5 favourite and he'll bid to make amends under Billy Garritty. Our horse will be having his first run on the all weather whereas Green Dame, runner up at Wolverhampton last time, and Butterfly Beach who was placed at Lingfield, are fillies who have both proved they can handle artificial surfaces.

We're double handed in the Take Time Out During sgweek25! EBF Restricted Novice Stakes where we run Top Lad and debutant Von Trotter. Top Lad has experience, having been third in two of his four starts and has an official rating of 69. On the other hand Von Trotter has his first taste of the racecourse and is also the first runner for broodmare Bankawi who was a four-time winner. He's a horse we like and he'll be ridden by Joanna Mason.

I Need Your Love

I Need Your Love is our final runner of the day in the second division of the six-furlong Create Your Bet Builders At Midnite Handicap. A winner last time out, when he provided us with our first ever scorer at Bath, he runs off a three pound higher mark this time. Billy Garritty again takes the ride. Fortamour looks the danger and was raised just a pound for his course and distance win a fortnight ago. Alpine Girl bids to win her third race in four outings but the Julie Camacho trained mare has a three month absence to overcome and five of her six victories have come on turf.
