Katie Midgley has today been shortlisted for the Leadership category in the 2025 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards (TIEA). More than 200 entries were received from across the British racing and breeding industry for the awards which have a total of £128,500 in prize-money. The six shortlist will now be narrowed down to three finalists, with the winners and runners-up announced at York racecourse on February 24th 2025. The event will hosted by broadcaster Rishi Persad to crown the 2025 Employee of the Year. Speaking today Katie expressed her delight at being shortlisted. "It's an honour and a great achievement," she said. "Working in racing means long hours and we're lucky to have a brilliant team here at Mick and David Easterby Racing." "I've worked for Mick and David now for 15 years and must have travelled hundreds of thousands of miles taking horses racing all over the country." "I'm really grateful to everyone who has voted for me. Thank you so much." |
