Two weeks ago we rehomed a lovely six-year-old ex-racehorse called Capla Lass, a sensible and kind mare who we knew would make an excellent riding horse.
Capla Lass raced twelve times and after a spell in the paddocks we decided to find her a new career. She was retrained here at the yard, with plenty of hacking to get her used to being ridden again.
Her performance was faultless. She was totally at ease and had no issues with traffic when hacked out on the road.
Capla Lass caught the eye of Laura Jayne who lives near Folkestone in Kent, and after several conversations she decided to take Capla Lass and arranged transport. The horse was collected by transporter Eric Gillie to make the 300 mile journey to the south coast.
Now known as 'Cassie', the daughter of Garswood's new home is a sheep farm which also hosts plenty of other equine companions.
