Plenty of horses out on the track as we prepare for the latter part of the flat season.

As the summer progresses it's time to bring in the jumpers and joining the flat horses over the past few weeks have been Luke, Where's Hector and Albert's Back who are returning from their summer break.

We also have some nice prospects for the winter game who have as yet still to be named by their owners. One such horse is the giant five-year-old chestnut Doyen gelding owned by Imperial Racing. Standing at over 17 hands he is an imposing sight as we get him ready for a debut later this year. He usually canters with a home-bred three-year-old Sir Percy gelding

On Thursday the pair did their regular two canters along the uphill gallop as we need to build their stamina. The giant chestnut was ridden by Jane Bedford and the Sir Percy gelding by Phil Lawrence.

It's a long time since Luke was last seen on the track and he was exercised by Joanna Mason as we prepare him for his return this autumn.
