Last year we rehomed a lovely chestnut filly called Strawberry Dream after a short racing career. She had run three times, finishing last in each of her races, and we decided that being a racehorse simply wasn't for her. After finishing tenth of ten at Nottingham we offered her for sale out of racing and she was purchased by Ellie. Now four years old, Strawberry Dream is enjoying a second career eventing and she is taking to it extremely well. Yesterday she took part in her first competition and all went to plan. "She was amazing," says Ellie. "The warm up was a baptism of fire but she coped really well. She absolutely adores her jumping, she's so brave!
