Racehorse welfare is always paramount here at Mick & David Easterby Racing and we love to hear from the owners of our ex-racehorses.

Tilly Tinker, a stunning chestnut filly, was purchased from Doncaster's Autumn Sales as a yearling in 2015. We knew the family well, as she was a half-brother to our former winner, Fred's Lad, who earned black type at York in 2007, and also to our seven times winner Prince James. However, the good looking daughter of Doncaster Rover didn't herself have the speed to win a race. After finishing down the field at Newcastle in October 2017 she was retired and rehomed by her co-owner, Jason McIvor.

Now owned by Alice Burnside, a member of Jason's staff at William McIvor & Son's, Tilly Tinker is enjoying life after racing. Since retiring from the track she's done a spot of jumping and this weekend has been putting her best hoof forward in the show ring.

Tilly is thriving in her new career and as you can see from the pictures she looks magnificent, a real credit to Alice in every sense of the word.

We wish Alice and Tilly many happy years together and look forward to hearing about Tilly's progress.
