Ten-year-old stable favourite Where's Jeff is set to return for another season on the racecourse.

The homebred son of Farhh made his debut at York back in 2017 and has since won ten races and over £106,000 in prizemoney from 62 starts.

Where's Jeff remained a maiden as a two-year-old and won for the first time at Newcastle in 2018 and then followed up at Hamilton, a course for which he has a fondness and where he has won four times.

Carlisle was the scene of Jeff's biggest payday when he won the Cumberland Plate in 2019, collecting over £19,000 in prizemoney. In 2024 he passed the £100,000 prizemoney landmark when scoring at Beverley.

'Jeffrey' as he's known by the staff has eight seasons under his belt and owner Andrew Pollock made the decision at the beginning of the year to bring him back for a few races before retirement.

An entry has been made for Where's Jeff at Carlisle on Monday in the 'PricedUp Handicap', which would see him return to the scene of his biggest career win.

Where's Jeff has a special place in our affections because of the memories his name evokes. He was named after the late Jeff Atkinson who was a great friend and sorted out the drainage issues on the Farms. The name came about because when there was a problem with drains on the farm the first thing anyone would say was 'Where's Jeff?' Tragically Jeff Atkinson is with us no longer, having died in a road accident in August 2020.
