Rehoming

A stunning grey gelding by El Kabeir, Musical Masquerade raced 11 times, running both on the flat and under National Hunt rules. In 2024 he also took part in the Graham Lee Charity Stakes at Thirsk where he was ridden by Aleesha Williamson and raised over £1500 for the Injured Jockeys Fund.

Retired from racing in the summer of 2024 Musical was rehomed by Lillian in County Durham. It was important that he found a home with an experienced handler who could get the very best out of him and we knew Lillian was the right person to bring him on.

Lillian sent us this update today about his progress:

"Musical started work around March/April this year and he's been fantastic. Seriously cool to jump and he really moves. He’s done a couple of dressage shows, some clinics and he’s got his first showjumping show this weekend. He’s got some real scope, we've just started jumping properly in the last couple of months but he’s come on so quickly."

"Him and my 3yo are best buddies as they’re the only two who like playing, they keep each other entertained!"

"He'll probably showjump in the autumn, then have a short winter holiday and plan is for eventing next year".

We love to follow our old friends in their new careers and we always knew Musical would be a star when he left racing.
