Racing in the colours of Lord Belper, Mick's Star won eight races. His first victory was on the flat at Pontefract before going jumping. He won over hurdles at Market Rasen, Nottingham, Wetherby and Cheltenham. Mick's Star also won twice over fences at Wetherby and also at Market Rasen. Mick's Star left the yard in 1989 and was trained by Jenny Pitman and later by Mouse Morris in Ireland. He didn't win another race after leaving Sheriff Hutton, finishing 13th in the Grand National in 1991 on his penultimate start for Morris. | ||
