Fridaythorpe made his debut at Wetherby in 2009, finishing runner up in a National Hunt Flat Race. His first win came at Wetherby in 2010 in a similar NH Flat Race where he was ridden by Oliver Greenall. He finished third over hurdles at Wetherby and earned a rating of 113.
