Foist made his debut as a two year old at Ripon and throughout his two and three year old career showed very little.
He won his first race at the age of four on the all weather at Southwell rated just 33. In a dramatic upturn in his form he ran off two more wins to record a hat-trick. The year 1997 saw Foist record three further wins and in 1998 he won twice more, when he won twice in the space of two days. On 3rd May he won at Hamilton and we took him straight to Warwick where he would win for the Gyles Parkin the following day. In seven of his eight wins Foist was favourite and he was a very popular horse with the punters. | ||
