Qawamees was bought out of Simon and Ed Crisford's yard at the Autumn Horses in Training Sales in 2018. He ran 23 times (20 on the flat and three times over hurdles) since joining us here in Sheriff Hutton, winning at Pontefract in 2019 for Kieran O'Neill. He was also placed seven times.

Qawamees ran for most of his career in the red, black and white colours of The Irrational Group, but made his final two racecourse appearances in the name of the Laura Mason Syndicate.

A gentle giant and a lovely calm horse, Qawamees suffered a heart attack and died in August 2021 and we'll all miss him.
