A soaked Beverley and a broken umbrella

A soaked Beverley and a broken umbrella

We've been to Beverley this afternoon and it's poured with rain. There was so much that the going changed from Good (Good to Firm in places) to Soft in the space of half an hour.

The going change wasn't ideal as our horse prefers firmer ground, but Western Beat finished a gallant second in her race and before she was led in David put his umbrella next to the second place stand.

Western Beat spooked at the sight of an umbrella, kicked out and has smashed the umbrella in two.

Thankfully it was just an umbrella as the last horse to kick out at Beverley was Jazz Samba, and in doing so she injured Joanna and put her on the sidelines for a week.

Judging by her annoyed kick Western Beat clearly didn't like finishing second either!
