So Grateful and Marwari in Southwell double

So Grateful and Joanna Mason were on the mark at Southwell this evening to give the new Mick & David Easterby Racing Club their first winner.

Having been placed in all five previous starts for the Club, he ran out an easy winner of the 'Download The At The Races App Handicap' over six furlongs at the Nottinghamshire track.

So Grateful is a home bred who deserved the victory after many near misses, as he becomes another winner for his dam, the late Bow Bridge, alongside half-brothers Towbee and Bowson Fred and half-sister Black Annis Bower.

The second leg of the double came with Marwari, who was completing a double himself having won last week. We had offered Marwari for sale before and after his last win and had no takers. There will be plenty of people kicking themselves after he obliged this evening and continues to be in the form of his life.
